Orlík, the largest reservoir on the Vltava River, supplies roughly one‑third of Prague’s municipal water and feeds a major hydroelectric plant that contributes to the national grid. The Ministry of the Environment confirmed that the reservoir’s volume is now well below the threshold needed for optimal operation of the water‑treatment facilities downstream.
