Russia Warns UK Over Drone Supply as Attacks Escalate

Moscow has delivered a strong warning to the United Kingdom, stating the UK will face 'consequences' and 'a higher price to pay' for providing drones to Ukraine. The Russian government alleges that British-made drones are being utilized by Ukraine in escalated attacks, including those on Russian mainland territory.

The UK Ministry of Defence swiftly rejected Moscow's threats, asserting Britain's unwavering commitment to Ukraine. A spokesperson for the MoD stated that the UK stands 'shoulder to shoulder' with Ukraine and is 'committed to providing equipment Ukraine needs to defend itself against Putin’s illegal invasion.'

Escalation of Drone Attacks

The Russian warnings come amidst an intensification of drone activity. Russian officials reported a significant drone assault on the Moscow region, involving more than 600 drones. These attacks reportedly resulted in injuries to at least three individuals, including a young girl, and caused damage to a Wildberries warehouse.

Concurrently, a separate strike in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine resulted in at least ten fatalities and eight injuries in Pechenigy, according to the local governor. These incidents highlight a broader escalation in hostilities, with both sides reporting significant impacts from recent military actions.

Russian officials claim over 600 drones targeted the Moscow region in a single overnight period, injuring at least three people and damaging infrastructure.

The Kremlin's threats specifically link the UK's drone supply to these recent record attacks. Russia maintains that Ukraine's use of British drones in strikes on Russian territory necessitates a response, signaling potential repercussions for London.

Despite Moscow's warnings, Britain has reiterated its stance that it will continue to arm Ukraine. The ongoing support underscores the Western alliance's resolve to assist Ukraine in its defense against the ongoing conflict, even in the face of escalating rhetoric from Russia.
